In mid-2004, he took a break from ports and stopped updating his website. At that time, he was part of the forum of the page that hosted him, XBox-Scene. In 2006, he returned with ports, but posted them only on his forum and on third-party websites, such as XBOX HQ, and later on Gamebrew.

He also ported BeOs games, such as Blob Wars and NJam, and Linux games, Heroes. His last ports were in 2007 of DidntXSpectrum from ZX Spectrum and the game Cave Story from Linux.

XPort, SourceForge and Xbox-Scene websites

After this, he moved away from emulation and his ports for consoles, handhelds and PCs were continued by Madmab. In an interview with the X-Box Scene website, Xport said that the motivation for the ports he made was his children, and that the popularization of his work through his children's friends also helped the project become popular. In addition to Xport's work and the help of the Xbox community, J-Red's help in most of the emulator skins was essential.

AmiDog

AmiDog (2000, 2004 and 2020)

Mathias Roslund, AmiDog was an important emulator porter for AmigaOS. Born in 1978 in Kumla, Sweden, Ami graduated in Computer Engineering in 1999 from Örebro University in Örebro, Sweden. In 2000, he was working at the Belgian-German company Hyperion Software, helping to port games to the Amiga, such as Worms: Armageddon in 2000 and Descent: Freespace - The Great War in 2001.

Worms: Armageddon (2000) and Descent: Freespace - The Great War (2001)

The AmiDog portal started around the end of 1997, beginning of 1998. It covered a variety of topics, including a Swedish-language site about the Amiga, with information on various hardware, such as Amiga motherboards, and software, such as games, music, animation, emulation, and more. The other site he maintained was ADoom, a third-party port of Doom for the Amiga.

AmiGenerator (SMD)

Darcnes (NES and SMS)

TrueReality (N64)

GBE (GBC)

And the last and most important page was the emulators page. One of the first emulators ported to the Amiga was Darcnes for NES, SMS, GG, PCE, SG-1000 and ColecoVision, followed by Generator for Mega Drive as AmiGenerator, both in 1999. In 1999, it also ported Handy for Atari Lynx, ColEm for ColecoVision (discontinued in 2000, being replaced by Darcnes), GBE for GB and GBC and TrueReality for N64.

FPSE (PSX)

Sope (PSX)

MAME (Arcade)

Frodo and Vice (Commodore 64)

In 2000, Frodo for C64, SOPE and FPSE for PSX, MAME and MESS. It updates its ports until 2002, when it takes a hiatus. It returns in 2004 in its updates, and adds the VICE emulator for C64. It remains active in 2005, and in 2006 it only updates VICE. In 2008, 2012 and 2015 it only updates FPSE, when it ends the ports for Amiga.

Nostalgia (Front End)

In 2001, he also created his own forum just for the emulation part. This one is in English. In 2002, the Arab Walid Moghrabi created the Nostalgia front-end to access several emulators, among them DarcNES, Handy, AmiGenerator and GBE, converted by Ami. Ami left Walid's website on his website.

AmiDog's Movie Player 2, Raycaster and FMV

Outside the emulation field, he created some other projects, such as SID-Searcher (1997), a utility that plays, converts (to PSID format) and searches for songs in .SID format, a format used by the Amiga and Commodore 64, the AmiDog's Movie Player (1999) (with beta version in 2002), known as AMP, being the first DVD player for the Amiga, Raycaster (2005), which is a graphics engine that simulates a three-dimensional effect on a two-dimensional screen on Commodore 64 computers, in the style of Wolfenstein, FMV (2008), a Full-Motion Video creator, and MIPS Recompiler (2014), a recompiler for the C64 processor.

Docs: AmiDog's GPU Plugin (PSX) and Handy (Atari Lynx)

Interestingly, AMV was the first major project he developed, and his experience in its development helped in the creation of the emulators that would come later. In 2014, he created the PSX Wiki, an encyclopedia only about the console's processors and documentation, given his experience with the SOPE and FPSE emulators. In the same year, he also released a GPU plugin for PSX emulators, called AmiDog's GPU Plugin.

Mathias currently works for SEB, a financial services company based in Stockholm, Sweden. Mathias has knowledge of .NET framework, Microsoft SQL Server, C#, Programming, Crystal Reports (report creation) and Docker (software creation).

Jabo

Jnes

Steven Rellinger, also known as Jabo, was born in the USA in 1980. He is a creator of emulators and graphic plugins. His first project began in early 1999, the NES emulator, JNes, which was released at the end of the year. It was considered a good emulator for the console. Today, it is still available on the Play Store for the Android platform.

Project64

In late 1999, he joined Zilmar's Project64, an N64 emulator. The emulator was released in mid-2001. All of Jabo's projects were released for Windows. At Project64, Jabo focused on creating plug-ins, mainly graphics ones, such as Jabo's Direct3D6, Direct3D7 and OpenGL in 2001 and Jabo's Direct3D8 in 2005.

Plugins: Direct3D 6.0, 7.0 and 8.0, DirectSound 1.6, DirectInput 7.0 and OpenGL 0.73

For audio, it released Jabo's DirectSound, and for joypad, Jabo's DirectInput, both in 2001. These plugins produced by Jabo also worked in other N64 emulators, such as True Reality 64, Apollo and 1964.

Dun Tray (Dial Up App)

Websites: Jabo's Home Space, Jabosoft, Dun Tray, Jnes, Project64 and GitHub

Outside the emulation world, he also created an application called Dun Tray, which was a dial-up dialer in the days of telephone-line internet, which automatically dialed the provider's number when the connection dropped. Jabo takes care of both emulation projects to this day, with both having had updates in 2021.
